1. Ancient Rome
Walking tour through the ancient ruins of the Roman Forum, once
the heart of the republic, where trades were held as well as religious life and
justice. You will discover the wonders of ancient Rome and recall the reign of
Caesar, admiring the fragments of Rome’s glorious past. Then you will understand
Augustus words: “I found Rome a city of bricks, and left it a city of marble”.
We will see the mighty Colosseum, where gladiators once fought
for their lives in front of thousands of cheering Romans.
Starting from the Campidoglio (town hall), I will show you the
Roman Forum, the Palatine hill, the Circo Massimo, the
Colosseum, the Triunphal arch of Constantine. It will be possible also to
continue the visit with San Clemente church and the Domus Aurea.
2. Monumental and Baroque Rome
This walking tour refers to the Popes great works of enlargement and rebuilding
of the city during the XVI and the XVII century. This visit is focused on
Renaissance and Baroque style and will include: Trevi Fountain,
Piazza di Spagna (Spanish Steps), the Pantheon, Montecitorio
(Parliament House), Palazzo Madama (Senate House), Piazza Navona,
and the churches of Santa Maria Sopra Minerva and Sant’Ignazio. This tour can
also be by bike.
3. Vatican City, the Sistine Chapel & S. Peter’s Basilica
The Vatican is the smallest state in the world, however it is worth a trip to
Rome only to see Michelangelo’s masterpiece: the Sistine Chapel
frescoes, which is inside the Vatican Museums, where one can also admire the
Stanze di Raffaello (Raphael’s rooms). We will step inside the
world largest church: Saint Peter’s Basilica, then we will
cross St Peter’s Square, created by the genius of Bernini a century after
Michelangelo made the Cupola (dome). After a light lunch our tour can continue
by visiting Castel Sant’Angelo and Borgo Pio.
4. Christian Rome
Rome owns more than 600 churches! We will see some of the most interesting
cathedrals such us Santa Maria Maggiore, Santa. Prassede, with it’s gorgeous
mosaics, San Pietro in Vincoli (St. Peter's in Chains) to admire the marble
statue of Moses by Michelangelo, then the three level church San Clemente and
Santi Quattro Coronati with its beautiful cloister. The tour can be extended to
San Giovanni in Laternao (St. John in Lateran), with the Baptistery and the
Sancta Sanctorum.
5. Jewish quarter & Trastevere
This visit will get you in a Middle Age atmosphere, you will discover a
characteristic part of the city: we will visit the Jewish area, where one of the
oldest European Jewish communities is settled. Here the ancient Portico
d’Ottavia, witnesses the great past of the area, and the imposing
Synagogue, set up in 1904 hosts a Jewish life's museum; then we will cross the
river Tevere through the charming boat-shaped island to continue our tour in
Trastevere, considered a separate city by its residents who call themselves the
“real Romans”! Trastevere boasts also many pizzerias and typical restaurants
called Trattoria.
6. Rome by night
What about a drive in the main sights of the city with the beautiful lighting of
the night, to discover the magic of Rome in its warm evenings? Would you like to
experience in one go the roman “dolce vita” of Via Veneto as
well as the warm atmosphere of Campo dè Fiori and
Trastevere? There are so many things to see and many anecdotes to tell
about these places, and the nightlife is charming…
7. Rome by Bike

simply walking around and we will have different stops on the best spots, have
an Italian ice-cream, and it will be fun!
8. Angels and Demons tour
This tour is especially thought for those who were pensioned by Dan Brown’s best
seller “Angels and Demons”. I will show you the spots named in the novel and, I
will show you the genius of Bernini. This tour will start from Saint Peter’s
Square, continuing to Castel Sant’Angelo, Piazza Navona, Pantheon, then the
churches of Santa Maria del Popolo and Santa Maria della Vittoria and finally
Piazza Barberini.
9. Michelangelo - Caravaggio - Bernini tour
This tour is dedicated to the three geniuses that transformed Rome and
influenced the taste of their times. The visit will start from the Vatican,
where all started, thanks to the popes who ordered them most of their
masterpieces. We will see many churches and squares created by their genius.
This walking tour is mainly focused on paintings, sculpture and architecture.
10. Ancient Rome off the Tracks
This is a walking tour that completes a previous visit and goes deep in
knowledge: I will show you the underground Rome by visiting San Clemente, a
three level church with the remains of a 2nd-century Villa, and a pagan temple;
the Ludus Magnus, where the gladiators used to live and train, the Domus Aurea
(the golden palace of the Emperor Nero), and crossing the Celio, the most
tranquil of the seven hills, we will discover the roman daily life by touring
the Caracalla's thermal bathes.
11. Monumental Rome off the Tracks
This is a walking tour that completes a previous visit and goes deep in
knowledge of the area called Campo Marzio (Mars Camp). This was the part of the
city were the king Tarquinius lived but after his murder it was dedicated to the
roman soldiers and the god of the war: Mars. I will point you out the hidden
remains of ancient thermal baths, temples, theatres and stadiums that the
emperors built for the Senate and the People of Rome (SPQR), even if the area
has been totally rebuilt.
12. From the Vatican City to the Castel Sant’Angelo
This walking tour includes the visit of the Castle - ancient Emperor Hadrian
tomb, which became a papal fortress and a prison - We will cross the bridge
restyled by Bernini, and we will walk in Via dei Coronari which past is still
alive in the numerous antiquity boutiques. This was the way where thousands of
pilgrims flocked every holy years since 1300, to see Saint Peters’ tumb.
13. Via Appia Antica (the Appian Way)
The Appian Way is the most celebrated highway of the Roman Republic. This tour
includes part of the Appian way where there are many interesting roman ruins,
such as Cecilia Metella's tomb, part of a Middle Age castle, emperor Maxentius'
circus, The Catacombs - the Christian underground cemetery dating from the 2nd
century, where persecuted Christians once gathered to worship in secret – and
Saint Sebastian's Church.
